Chocolate Cream Cake

September 14, 1992


3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c.all purpose flour
1 1.2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
2 containers snack size vanilla pudding cups
Chocolate glaze

Cream oleo, sugar and shortening. Beat in egg. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and vanilla to creamed mixture. Pour into a greased 9" round cake pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350*. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely. Cut cake in half into 2 layers. Spread 1 one of the puddings on bottom half, top with cake top and top with the other pudding cup. Add glaze then chill Serves 8
Glaze: Blend and melt: 1/4 c. chocolate chips, 1 T. oleo,1/2 c. powdered sugar and 1 1/2 t. milk.

Harvest Moon!! Because of volcanic dust, wind and the solar system as it is today, the moon will be huge and orange and gorgeous...Devin is teething and a cold in her eye.
