1/2 lb. yellow crooked neck squash
2 tomatoes
1/3 c. broccoli stems
1 leek
3 T. buttermilk
1/2 t. Dijon mustard
2 t. basil leaves
4 large cabbage leaves, red or green
parsley for garnish
Peel and cut squash into julienne strips. In a medium saucepan, steam squash until tender. Cut the tomato into chunks. Peel broccoli, remove top off leek and cut both into julienne strips. In a small bowl, whisk buttermilk, mustard and spices. Place cabbage on a platter and spoon squash mixture on cabbage, add broccoli mixture over leaves. Garnish. Serves 4

My youngest daughter Nancy, begins her very first day of school, no more babies at home. We left 6:15 an,
still dark out, but when the sun rose, it's drizzly. Back to setting the table again. After supper we went to Linwood Park and played softball.
