Jean P's Sheet Cake

October

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo
1/2 c. shortening
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 t. vanilla
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. salt
frosting to pour over hot cake:
 1 stick oleo, 5 T. milk,4 T. oleo, boil 1 minute. Add 1 box powdered sugar, sifted and 1/2 t. cinnamon

In a bowl, combine flour and sugar. Set aside. Bring to boil, oleo, shortening, cocoa, and water. Pour over flour. Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Bake 20 minutes at 400* in a greased sheet cake pan..I used a 11" x 9" pan. Pour hot frosting over cake.

My cousin, Jean Pinaire (RIP), wife of Kenton Pinaire, served this at one of many dinners at Grandma
Schiefelbein's house. I loved it then, I love it now.

As The Witches Go Flying By: tune: Over There Over here Caissons

Way up high, in the sky
You can see them flying by.
As the witches go flying by.

Here and there, in the air
You can see them everywhere
As the witches go flying by.

With a zoom zoom zoom
Everyone is on their broom
Singing a Halloween song.

In the bright moonlight
It is really quote a sight
As the witches go flying along.
